Lauren Simmons

Lauren Simmons was a former stock trader for Rosenblatt Securities.  At age 23, in 2017, Lauren became the youngest and only full-time female trader at the New York Stock Exchange. She also became the second African American woman, Gail Pankey-Albert was the first, in the Exchange's history to have such a position.

Simmons graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2016 and moved to New York.  Although she had taken an internship at a local clinical treatment center. She realized that medicine was not her passion and applied for positions in finance because of her love for numbers. Through LinkedIn, Simmons applied for, and landed a position at Rosenblatt Securities. Lauren studied hard and passed the Series 19, the exam all floor brokers must pass to earn their badge. She proved that she belonged on the trading floor in a Boys Club environment.

Lauren now invests her time  by traveling across the US and aboard inspiring folks to follow their dreams and not to be afraid to try new things.  Its been reported that actress Kiersey Clemons will produce and star in a biographical film based on the life of Simmons.
