Self taught artist and sneakers collector Tiffany B Chanel started out as an athlete and dancer.

Six years ago, the Brooklyn, New York resident randomly started painting sneakers and featured her work on Instagram. Her talent was commissioned by Iman Shumpert, the NBA star who wore sneakers Tiffany created to fashion week. Her work went viral.

Chanel received a DM invite to paint the young son of Tamara Mowry, host of the daytime tv show “The Real.” It was a challenge being as Tiffany have never painted faces before. Tiffany posted the completed artwork on Instagram, then Tamara reposted the picture and it garnered over 60K likes. From that moment on Tiffany became a portrait artist. Now she works as a commissioned artist and create pieces for businesses and celebrities. Actress Aisha Hinds, DJ D-Nice, and film and TV director Ava DuVernay have commissioned work from her.

Tiffany paintings are inspired by the positive connections she gets when meeting “real people” and their facial features. Her pop-art style paintings showcases vibrant colors which forces art lovers to view and be drawn to the person(s) she paints.

Tiffany gives back to her community and leads monthly “Beyond the Layout” paint-and-sip sessions and is hired by local nonprofits, churches, and schools to facilitate professional development classes for children and adults.

Tiffany’s Quote:

“ My goal in life is to create art that will outlive me and impact many people around the world.”
